The Caledon Centennial Skating Club is Seeking Volunteer

CanSkate Program Assistants for our Learn-to-Skate Program

 

Qualifications:

·         Have prior rep hockey or figure skating (StarSkate) experience and can demonstrate intermediate

 or advanced skating skills

·         Be patient, enthusiastic, and good with children

·         Be reliable, responsible, and punctual

·         Have good communication and demonstration skills

·         Be a team player and good role model

·         Able to lead groups and offer praise and encouragement to skaters

·         Able to keep skaters moving while having fun

 

Responsibilities:

·         Assisting or leading warm-ups, group activities, and cool-downs

·         Assisting with the set-up of circuits and stations

·         Leading circuits and rotations

·         Demonstrating proper execution of skating skills

·         Aiding skaters who may have additional needs

·         Providing general assistance to the coaches on the session

·         Providing encouragement and general feedback to skaters

 

When: 

1 hour weekly on Thursday evenings from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm at the Caledon East Community Complex
